Staff Attorney Position
The American Civil Liberties Union Foundation of Southern California seeks an attorney with a minimum of three years litigation experience to bring, handle, and oversee, civil liberties/civil rights actions. The attorney will litigate individual, class and taxpayer actions on these issues raising constitutional and civil rights claims in state and federal court, at trial and appellate levels, through direct representation and the filing of amicus briefs.
In addition, the attorney will supervise the work of cooperating attorneys handling these areas of litigation for the ACLU Foundation of Southern California.
Experience with and interest in one or more of the following areas is a plus: immigrants' rights cases, lesbian and gay rights, HIV and AIDS-related cases, or gender discrimination, women's rights, and reproductive rights cases.
Being bi-lingual, particularly English-Spanish, is also a plus.
